Clever Punches

Use Stampin Up Ornament punch to create a vase. Change the shape by cutting more or less of the bottom.  Read more at Crafting Clare by Vicky Hayes.

Use Stampin Up 2-step owl and 2 3/4" scallop circle punches and a 1" circle punch to create this rose. Punch out 8 owl bodies and remove the feet. Cut a slit on the head bit to form a petal. Arrange petals on the punched circle. Cut the scallop circle into a spiral to form the rose centre.

Clever Inking

Stamp on embossing folder prior to dry embossing. And then ink up for more definition. Read more about this on this blog post. I didn't create this technique and have seen it demo'ed many times; although in the blog post I did put a link to a Tim Holtz video.

This card sample used Stampin Up stamps, Texture Impressions embossing folder and inks (not Distress Inks).
