CFC67 - Flags, banners and more besides

It's been a long time in-between crafting, for sure, so it was so good to get back to it! I've been playing with the new Stampin Up In-colours and the best way to get inspired, imho, is to join challenges.  CAS-ual Fridays did not disappoint and here I am with my entry to challenge  #67 - Flags & Banners.

cardstock: Silver Glimmer (vase), Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green

stamps: En Francais background, Fabulous Phrases

punches: small heart, Ornament

I love using the Ornament punch and turning it into a vase; the Glimmer paper sets it off, methinks.

This is very much inspired by Lorena's work...so cute and clever, I thought.

OLW 41 - Early Christmas

The OLW41 challenge is to use red and green on a one layer card (OLC) with minimum embellishment if at all. I had fun creating this card and my stamp-a-ma-jig was my best buddy. :-).

cardstock: Whisper White

stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Short & Sweet

inks: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Basic Black

I created a Christmas tree shaped mask using a standard post-it note. Then I stamped the short and sweet sentiments in alternating colours. Finally, I sponged over the same coloured ink over the sentiments. I topped off with a snowflake (and rhinestone) and used Merry Christmas as the base.

It's pretty clean and simple though not as much white space as Susan's card (see below).

This actually fits the current Play Date Cafe challenge #69, in terms of colour so I'll enter it there too. It'll make a nice foil for my other PDCC entry which is a big departure from CAS!
