2-in-1 Challenge

This is an entry for Case Study Challenge #29 and Simply Less is More Challenge- Pastel colours.

Here's my entry to both challenges:

papers: SU DSP, white, Pretty in Pink c/s
stamp: SAB Punch Bunch
inks (markers): Blushing Bride, Regal Rose, Pear Pizazz, Daffodil Delight
punches: 1 3/4" and 2 3/8"scallop circles,  1 3/8" circle

I put markers directly on the stamp, 2-toned for the flowers and cut out with the circle punch. I punched out 2 pieces of the 1 3/4" scallop circles - folded (concertina) and glued together; I think it's more interesting than flat (and a salute to the fan above). All bits were mounted on the larger scallop and then again on the ribbon.

I thought a textured background works well in this CAS card - look at all that white space!!!! Besides the DSP used had polka dots so might as well echo that on other elements.

What do you think?

  1. You have given the rosette a fabulous treatment and the dual colour on the stamp adds so much interest to the image.
Th ribbon treatment is super, but must make getting the card into an envelops problematic!
It reminds me of a ceremonial sash... just fabulous.
Thanks for a great submission and see you next time!
